My Summer At Camp Crystal Lake is one fan's trip through the Friday The 13th film franchise. Each film [not including the original] is recapped in a humorous manner that that pokes fun at the films while still paying and treating the films with the respect that they deserve.
Following each review is the Slasher Encyclopedia Tally, where you learn the count from each film for things like deaths, swear words, false scares, stalled vehicles, and other staples in the genre. The author then counts down his Top 3 Favorite Deaths from the film, followed by the Box Office Business, interesting/unknown facts about the film, and his final rating.
After the reviews are up, there are a few more pieces, such as the author's Top 3 Jason's Face Reveals, Jason's Deaths, Top 5 Kills, and Top 5 Moments From The Franchise.
The entries have originally appeared on many different popular websites where they were always well received by the fans, and even praised by a few writers of the franchise itself.
Caliber Winfield has been a writer for almost a decade, and a Friday The 13th fan for twice as long. If you're trying to impress a girl, no need to put on a wet-suit and hockey mask to earn her affection, just show her you own a copy of My Summer Vacation At Camp Crystal Lake.

I hate to sound like a grade bcc school grammar teacher, but why can't author's who write about horror films take more care with what they write? I am very tired of trying to drench meaning up out of paragraphs stuffed with m ok misplaced modifying phrases and clauses. This writer definitely knows his subjects and understands why why people who are basically well-adjusted, constructive members of society can enjoy unsavory films like those that make up the Friday the 13th franchise. His sense of humor about the topic makes his book entertaining and engaging, until a sentence like this: " the reason I rank it fourth is for a number of reasons cSmacks one in the eyes like a rusty, dull machete (OK there's no misplaced modifier there, just a godawful sentence.)The book is worth reading for fans of these films, but I don't think it will win them any new devotees.

My Summer Vacation At Camp Crystal Lake edition by Caliber Winfield Humor Entertainment eBooks Reviews
This funny, info packed tribute to a vital part of the 80's is a great way to spend some time. If you are a fan of the series it is worth the it. The creator of the Man Movie Encyclopedia, Caliber Winfield, pays homage to THE MAN Jason Vorhees complete with kill count.
I grew up on these films and happen to be the same age as the author so I share much of his nostalgia for that same time period. I've been an avid fan of slasher flicks my whole life and Friday has been my favorite.
As I read through what his synopsis of each film was summed up with in short reviews, I nodded as I recalled each film in my head. Then it goes on to have how much each film made and some statistics (kill counts, drug/drinking, boobs) and also has a segment about what it takes to survive.
It's filled with various pop culture references and anecdotes that I found funny and his sense of humor struck a chord with me. I enjoyed reading it despite the numerous spelling errors.
Overall, I feel as if I should look for this type of thing on the Internet and read more about it and connect with the fans so I can have some conversation because I feel like telling people my thoughts on what I read.
